Dental practitioners who call the telephone service will have 24/7 access to an experienced team who can help with a wide range of health and wellbeing related issues that may be affecting their practice. The service also provides support to students, educators, employers and concerned family members.
Dental Practitioner Support is a Dental Board of Australia (DBA) initiative and is run by Turning Point, a leading addiction treatment, research and education organisation. The service is independent of the DBA and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Turning Point was established in 1994 to provide leadership to the drug and alcohol field in Victoria, Australia. We became part of Eastern Health in 2009 and are formally affiliated with Monash University. Turning Point operates a number of telephone and online support services across Australia.
